To satisfy the ever-growing demand for domestic cookers of high quality, at the beginning of the 1990s OAO ”Gazprom” management took the decision on the construction of a state-out-of-the-art plant manufacturing  domestic 4-burner gas cookers in the USSR. With that end in view, a number of contracts with foreign companies were signed: a contract with “Gabek” (Germany) for construction of manufacturing buildings, administration and on-site facilities, engineering networks and fitting the production  site; a contract with “Tragaz” consortium (Italy) for delivery of equipment, technologies and know-how to manufacture domestic gas cookers, based on “Brandt” (France) design of one of the largest manufacturers of “white equipment” in Europe.

The advanced methods phased in the plant, is able to provide a high degree of  automation  and European quality of the  product. Today Russian-made and foreign component parts and units and materials  are widely  used in production, including those manufactured in OAO ”Gazmash” branches (Balakirevo, Vladimir region; Votkinsk, the Udmurt Republic).

Tchaikovsky gas equipment plant – OAO ”Gazmash” branch consists of a large manufacturing complex, the central material warehouse, the engineering and lab building, shops of stamping, coating, assembly etc. The equipment used allows to manufacture the final product of high quality. Innovative technologies which were developed and phased in, provide a high degree of automation and mechanization of production. Thus, one of the most important operations – enamel, paint and galvanic coating of cooker units – is performed on the basis of the latest-generation technologies using the robotized complexes of acknowledged manufactures, one of which is “Gema”. The quality control of domestic cookers before packing up and shipment to consumers is exercised with the use of “Ateq” devices (French firm).

The tool-making shop of the plant is outfitted with the precision electro-erosive, milling, co-ordinate-cutting, grinding and other equipment of such firms as Agie, Dekel Maho, Mikron etc. The automated designing systems CAD/CAM/CAE allows the plant to master new production as quickly as possible.

The first gas cooker mod. 1401-00, 500x500mm, rolled off the production line  in autumn 1996 and soon the plant started to work at its planned production capacity. Constantly striving to respond to customers’ needs and demands the plant considerably increased  a model range of the products, including new dimensions. In addition to gas cookers the mass production of  dual-fuel (electric and gas) and electric cookers was mastered. Table top gas cookers were manufactured as well.  Apart from that, in 2007 the plant set out to produce built-in kitchen appliances - hobs and ovens in large numbers to meet the trends of the market. Free-standing gas grills and a few models of wall-mounted electric convectors have been in production since 2008.

The product under the brand of “Darina” fully accords to the requirements of high quality design at an acceptable price. In this respect, the constant research in the design stage to ensure functionality of the product, convenience of fitting, safety etc. is being carried out in the plant. “Darina” products have deserved the credit of Russian and foreign consumers for high quality that was justified  by numerous contests. As far as Tchaikovsky gas equipment plant – OAO ”Gazmash” branch itself is concerned, it has been acknowledged as one of the best enterprises not only in Perm territory but in whole Russia as well.
