Kanevskoy gas equipment plant was designed and built in accordance with decision ¹41-130 dated 26th March, 1990, signed by RAO “Gazprom” and Krasnodar territory Soviet of People`s Deputies, and in compliance with gasification and new housing programmes when it was considered worthwhile to construct a domestic gas cooker manufacturing plant in Kanevskaya stanitsa, Krasnodar territory.
Initially Kanevskoy gas equipment plant was an economically autonomous structural subdivision of “Kubangazprom”, but in 1997 it was transformed into “Kanevskoy gas equipment plant” Ltd with 100% investment share of OAO “Gazmash” affiliated society – “Kubangazprom” Ltd.
The construction of the plant was begun at the end of December 1991, when the first pile of the future plant was driven in on the outskirts of Kanevskaya stanitsa. Manufacturing buildings, administration and on-site facilities were constructed and outfitted with sophisticated equipment, within a short space of time and with high quality.
It is customary to consider the 1st of October 1994 the plant official birthday – on that particular day the 1st 4-burner gas cooker model 1465 “Kuban” rolled off the production line. With continuous focus on a wider range of products to meet the market demand the plant specialists developed several new cooker designs based on the existing model. Thus, already in the end of 1994 gas cooker models with electric ignition and interior oven light were put into production. A bit later in 1997 a 2-burner table top gas cooker model 1216 was launched and in 1998 - a 4-burner-without oven model 1469-00 “Dachnitsa” in a table top variant.
Since 1997 the goods of “Kanevskoy gas equipment plant (ZGA)” Ltd. have been in production under the trade mark "King".
In addition to gas cookers, “Kanevskoy ZGA” Ltd. started a mass production of domestic heating equipment in 1998. Single- and double mode gas-fired heating boilers (heaters) AKÃB-12 got rolling off the plant production line.
The range of “Kanevskoy ZGA” Ltd. products went on growing up. In 2000 an electric cooker model ÝÁ×Ø-5-4-7/5,5-220 was put in mass production. In 2002 a dual fuel (gas-electric) cooker model 1465-K supplied with 4 gas burners and an electric oven was launched. In 2005 a modified dual fuel (gas-electric) cooker 1465-K2 with 2 gas burners and 2 electric plates on the cooker top supplied with an electric oven came on the market. The same year added to the variety of products a 1-higher power burner cooker model 1120 “Ochag” is incomparable in Russia. It is intended to be used for cooking in large containers and there is a huge demand for it among rural population. In 2006 “Kanevskoy ZGA” Ltd., one of non-numerous enterprises in Russia, set out to produce free-standing 2-burner cooker models 1467.
In accordance with OAO ”Gazprom” management decision OAO “Gazmash” became a 100% shareholder of “Kanevskoy ZGA” Ltd. in 2007. Since then a new period in the development of Kanevskoy plant has begun. In cooperation with OAO ”Gazmash” specialists new models of domestic gas and electric appliances have been developed and launched into serial production, the equipment and technologies in use have been updated, the components and materials of higher quality have been used in the design of manufactured cookers, including those produced in OAO “Gazmash” branches in Balakirevo settlement and Tchaikovsky town. Besides a chain of dealer- and service centres in Russia and CIS countries has been considerably expanded.
In 2007 a memorable event took place at “Kanevskoy ZGA” Ltd. – the millionth cooker was produced in December. The high quality of manufactured products, a very large range of products and reasonable price have made the trade mark of the plant one of the most popular on the sale market. For many years consumers have got convinced of reliability and durability of the products.
